Chiang Mai city in Northern Thailand is famous for its huge amount of temples, and you can multiple temples on almost every street.
But if you drive a little bit outside of the city, you can find some really nice landscapes, like the rice field and waterfall below:
Even further North lies Chiang Rai with its famous white temple Wat Rong Khun. It is a restored and rebuilt temple, and next to it more buildings in the same white-with-glass style are being built to complete the temple complex.
Near Chiang Rai is the "Golden Triangle", on the border of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar, separated by two joining rivers. On the Thai side of the river there is large buddha statue on top of a treasure ship. When you cross the river to Laos, there is a tax-free area with casinos and sales of cheap replica bags and accessories. The final photo is of one building of the Baan Dam (black house) museum which is also close to Chiang Rai.
